Well, I’ve probably guessed this already but RTFM has a new look. I employed my step-son (Nat) who is studying IT at Oxford University and his pal, Matt – to do an update. The main reason for the upgrade was to move to a different ISP who offered unlimited disk and bandwidth to the site. There’s a been a couple of incidents where do to my populatity my site was stopped because of exceeding bandwidth. Along side this – you will find RTFM is now formatted for larger monitor/screen – this is mainly because I want to do more in the way of webcasts that audio/video rich (hence the bw/disk space). The menu’s have be tidied up a little – to allow people find my stuff quicker – especially my popular guides to VMware products. Additionally, I have no opened up comments to the blog as well as proper subscription process for my newsletter. So I’m hoping to also allow email based newsletter to be come a more regular feature than it has been in the past. Lastly, you will see that the old RTFM logo has changed, and I now have space for advertisers. That rectangle up there stays on screen where anyone goes on the site. In case you don’t know I recieve about 6-7K views per/day which works out about 30-35K hits a week. So you guaranteed to get some good referals.
