I want to zip without the nested directories added to my zip file. I do not want to work in the root, i do not want to change my current directory, and I do not want to install a product. I want to pass the full path of the file to zip the full path of the zip file. When i open the zip i do not want to see any directories.

I tried: Jar, QzipZip, and CPYTOARCF

They all did the nest directory thing

Sample:
Zip '/Flr1/Flr2/Flr3/Flr4/MYFILE.ZIP' '/Flr1/Flr2/Flr3/Flr4/MYFILE.PDF'
And when I open MYFILE.ZIP I want to see MYFILE.PDF not a directory for Flr1

I don't think it will be possible. It's just the nature of the IBM OS on the i-series. I'll play around a bit and see if I can figure something out.  The only thin I can think of would be to unzip it to a PC in a root drive directory, then rezip the file from there.

i think we will just live with what it is doing, it is just a pain to have to open 4 folders to look at the file.

But if you do come up with something, let me know.
    Thanks for the help
