No, group message is not social media. It is messaging system and one of the sub-systems of social media.

There is no clue in your query. From where did you get this message. There are several social media, please come back with more details.

Am I right or not. When you have a group message text. It's only for the people in your group. It was not put on Facebook or website for Avery one to see in the  USA. I got  90 days suspension an lost my president spot for 3 yes. So is this right or not. For a egals cub to do this

So the answer is not what you or we think about this issue, the question is what does the organization that gave you a 90 suspension think and why.

If I sent a group message at work it's not considered social media. This is because I controlled who has access to it. If I posted a message in our company forum then it may be considered social media. The point is what the company policy on electronic communications states may be different.

So it looks like you need to take your case to the group that put you on suspension to get clarification on whet exactly happened. Only they can resolve this for you, we cannot.

I don't think how that would come under Social media, as you are discussing things with other people within that group and it can be anything right?

You can do so much on Facebook so if I tag one person an talking about work. An I go to work the next day an came out an said your fired you because you used Facebook tag is that social media just like a group message.

The only other explanation I can give is the content of the group message may have either been against club policy or offended someone. They took it to another board member to report a violation of club policy.I'm just guessing here. It can be tough when dealing with an issue like this because you really have to trust the people you send this to keep it to themselves.

Yes you are right. But it was not put on Facebook or social media so everyone can see it. So if you are in a group talking about the club it's called freedom of speech. An that's just like if your in school. An one kid said to you I'm telling on you what would you say. I would say. You can't talk to your friends anymore. An this is my phone not the clubs. In the club policy says anything on Facebook now is that on Facebook.

The only other way to look at this is someone in the group must have gone to the board. True, it was not social media but if the board felt you violated club ethics or policy, regardless of how they found out, it may have been why there was disciplinary action. Some clubs can be very strict on their policies and if it comes down to making board and policy changes. Sometimes they go to far when making an example of a case. Has anyone taken over for your position and are they related to a member of the board?

Yes I had some one to take it over me. No there not related. This guy didn't know the hole story. He came from the Grand Aries. When I was talking about this to the group on message. I was fair warning them that there come after me not them. Because I new too much about their fraud an IRS an the money that they put in their pocket. Yes I have the proof. So when they asked me if I said this I said YES I did. I'm not going to lie to anyone. The Grand Aries didn't know any about this. I was going after the people that stole the money. The person that true me in was one of them that stole. I was just helping out the Grand Aries now do you see why I got suspended 4 the 90 days. What would you do in this case. Or keep your mouth shut an be guilty just like the people that stole the money.

As already mentioned, we can tell you what we think, but it doesn't matter.  You can't use our opinions as proof of anything.

It all depends on the specific rules that were allegedly broken and how the involved organization deals with this kind of issue.

I'm totally lost about the names you mention.  We don't have any context to give a more accurate opinion.

You need to come down to earth. Have you ever been in a club an know how they work. An I didn't give any names out. An where do you come from that I'm asking for proof from you. You need to go back read the hole story what I said. No come down to earth first.

Not sure why you are so defensive...

You posted your question to the wrong site.  Although the question appeared to be a little bit related to IT topics at the beginning, the rest of the conversation clearly shows that it is of a totally different type.

This is from The site's FAQ:

    "What is IT Knowledge Exchange?

ITKnowledgeExchange (ITKE) is a community site where IT professionals can ask and answer technical questions, discuss issues with peers, and read expert blogs covering topics across the IT industry".

Your question is clearly not a technical one, and I'm surprised that other people followed the conversation instead of asking you the usual question "Do you have a business case..."

And I'm not saying it is not important. It's just that it doesn't belong here.

And no, I have never been in a club.
