Betty wrote in with this question recently: "I am using the CHKDLO command, and then doing a MONMSG. Is there any way to capture the different messages (since there are five possibilities)? I?d like to be able to send the user a friendly message that would reflect the actual message that I get." Do you know how? -- Deb Tart, associate editor

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you mean with 5 different the 5 that can be monitored : CPF8A11;CPF8A75;CPF8A77;CPF8A82 and CPF8A83
You can monitor each message and send a message yourself to the user.
Example:
CHKDLO ….
MONMSG CPF8A11 exec(do)
SNDPGMMSG your message

Enddo
Monmsg CPF8A75 Exec(do)
sndpgmmsg another message
another action
Enddo
… etc.
You can monitor up to 100 messages send by the command and upto 1000 monmsg can be used in a pgm.
Hope this is what you need ?
