How can I find out the cause of a delay of 15-30 seconds when a Word2003 wndow is reactivated, e.g., after moving to another Word or other appl'n window and back again; the word window is dead, not even cursor flashing, for this delay. No HD activity. No virus checking message. It does NOT apply to dialogs opened by the Word window itself, e.g., file save. It DOES apply to clicking on the Close box!! There IS a similar delay when opening a document AFTER the virus check (AVG AV). Windows XP SP2, by the way.
