Wireless printing
I want to know what it can potentially do. I have two PCs of my own and we have just brought a laptop and a wireless printer in which required our internet connection password. I need to know can that printer access my files through the internet and print as it pleases? If it can which I don't doubt is possible what can I do to make it 100% impossible.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The only sure way to avoid random printing, in your case, is to keep printer turned off when not using it. Wireless devices fall into the IoT pitfall of security. The security is only as good as the manufacturer put into their network logic. If someone was able to hack your wifi network then they could use any device connected to it.. Your best bet is to use a strong wifi network password to prevent unauthorized use. Wireless devices are a nice convenience but they do put us at a certain level of risk.

Indeed, disable that feature or turn it off. You can do your own security analysis using vulnerability scanners, network analyzers and the like. That may be best left up to professionals who specialize in such work. A call to the manufacturer might help answer your questions or ease your concerns.
