Yes Ofcourse! You can use windows shortcuts in your A/S 400. Just google for keyboard shortcut keys, you will find many apps. Download the compatible app and install it. Now go to the app settings and make shortcut keys however you need.
If you want to make shortcut keys as same as windows, know all the keys at http://shortkeys.top and make your own keys.

Hi Tzimot, You may find this article about AS/400 keyboard shortcuts helpful. And you'll also see a few at the bottom of this common AS/400 commands list. I hope this helps! Em

The AS/400 itself is not likely ever to recognize Windows shortcuts. Keys such as the Ctrl key are not 5250 keys; there is no Ctrl key on a 5250 keyboard. However, programs that run on Windows, such as terminal emulators, will recognize those keyboard short-cuts as long as they are programmed to do so. In order to know if a particular key is recognized, we need to know what PC program you are running. Tom

If you are using client access -- Keyboard map -- picture of keyboard C - highlights C pulldown .. I think [edit-copy] .. associate with control [edit-cut] and [edit-paste] with correct keys. Phil

If you are using client access, then on the install file for it, there is a keyboard macro that used to called AS400.kmp that we modified to include a number of extra keyboard shortcuts over and above the ones that you asked for.

If you go with IBM's i Access Client Solutions, which is java based, it responds to the cut and paste keys -- no modification required. There are other nice improvements which you will like.

If you are using the Client Access emulator, it's already set up for you. What are you using for an AS/400 interface? Unless it a Windows based emulator you may be out of luck.

IBM's emulator i Access Client Solutions (iACS) has several other very handy features.
    • No installation is required.  Just copy the .JAR file to the PC or server from which AS/400 sessions can be launched.
    • When a new version is released just replace your .JAR file.  Again, no installation required.
    • All users can launch the emulator from a single instance of the .JAR file on a server
    • AS/400 sessions can be personalized using a small simple .HOD file which contains data such as device name and IP address of the AS/400.
