I have run into the oddest issue I've ever seen. Whenever I tap the spacebar button, my laptop keeps restarting! It's getting beyond annoying. The error message says: Event ID 264. What does that mean? All of the drives are updated. Diagnostics says everything is fine. This is on Windows 8. Thank you very much.

Several reasons might there. Is your keyboard okay, means all the keys are working properly? You can check with another keyboard (if possible) and observe if the same happens again. You did not mention what model/make your laptop. There is BIOS setup for key(s), (probably in boot section) which you can check either this happens for this reason.
