I'm running into a strange networking / Windows 10 issue. Every single time, Windows 10 won't keep my Wi-Fi connection as private. It keeps turning it to public whenever I load my computer. I go in and switch it back to private but a half hour later, it goes right back to public. Not sure what I should do here. Any help would be great.

Not so strange -- a lot of people have almost the same complaint. Unfortunately, there seem to be multiple solutions that cover different people, so it probably depends on the exact things that you do between the time you set it and the time it switches.

It seems most likely that you should try deleting the network completely, reboot, then set the network up from scratch assigning as Private at the start.

First make sure WLAN auocnfig service is set to auto in windows services. You can check by open services.msc in search box. Now open command prompt with administrative rights and type as, netsh WLAN show profiles. After seeing the list, you can delete one by one (if there more than one) by typing as, netsh WLAN delete profile name=<your profile name> and press enter key. Now exit the command prompt. Restart the system may overcome this issue.

If it is happening repeatedly in an office network environment, you need to talk to your network administrator.
