On my Windows 10 laptop, I usually have it setup this way: Display off after 15 minutes, Sleep after a hour and Hibernate after two hours. Moving the mouse doesn't wake it up. But clicking on the mouse or keyboard will do it. It's worked great up until the past month or so. But now it won't go into Hibernate at all anymore (or sleep). What should I do?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It might have been messed up with the last Windows update. If hibernate does not show as an option under the shutdown options you may want to try this

Start REGEDIT   then navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power.
Changed the value from 1 to 0 in HiberFileType

restart computer and Hibernate functionality should be available again

Have you updated the OS recently? If yes, please check if there is any pending update in Update History including optional updates. Or if possible, you can roll back your just previous update and check that helps. Before doing that, taking backup is a safe way.
