I recently changed the username on one of my Windows 10 folders (I had to wipe off an old user). But it's showing the old username when I'm trying to save files to the folder. Should I do something else here? Thanks.

Where was the file located that you changed? Was it under the root USER directory or somewhere else?

Take backups of your old account and hope you did it. Try this one, first create a new temporary account with admin rights. Now log into that temporary account. Now create a new account with the desired name. Log into the new account so that Windows creates the directory structure. Again log back into the temporary account. Copy all necessary files/folders from the old to the new. Now delete the old account. Now log into the new account and delete the temporary account.
