My Windows 10 desktop is completely stuck in restore mode. I was trying to go back to a previous version of Windows due to a security concern. A hard reset is not even possible. I really can't do anything (not even safe mode). What should I do?

When you say a previous version, are you referring to a restore point or actually downgrading the OS to an earlier version? What was the problem that made you want to do this?

Can you tell us, what exactly the error/freeze looks or an error message like when it gets stuck on recovery mode? If you have external recovery CD/DVD or flash drive, you can try to recover this system. Or you can contact the manufacturer/authorized person for ask a help in this situation.

If you have OS on CD or another source you might be bale to do this. When you system is booting, press the key to get to the BIOS setting. (F2 or ESC in a lot of cases). Then change the boot drive from C to that location.
