This might not work but I'm hoping it will. I have two different folders in Windows 10 with many subfolders and files. Now I would like to create one big folder with all these files and subfolders. Can I do this using a batch file?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Why not just use the drag and drop? Create a new folder “MAIN” and Drag SUB1 to MAIN then drag SUB2 to MAIN. This will move all the sub folder in the SUB1 and SUB2 as well.

Why did you want to use batch program for this type of job. While basically windows is designed for GUI features. You can make a folder by name as your choice then simply copy/ move two folders inside this newly created folder. This can help to copy/ move all of your folders/ files/ subfolders also. Or if you determined to use batch file, you can use move or xcopy command for that purpose. Open notepad, and write the following commands like,

    mvoe /-y <source folder> <newly created folder>

    pause

now save the file as .bat extension with a suitable name. The /-y helps to prompt, if there are duplicates. Keep in mind, move command is using for delete the original and create new ones.
