I'm using Windows 10 - what's the best way to copy an image (from a file) to the clipboard? I tried Ctrl + C but it didn't copy it to the clipboard. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

How do you know it did not copy to the clipboard. Was nothing there when you tried to paste it into another application ?

If this is a recent issue it could be related to your anti virus software. Try disabling it and try copy/paste again.
You may have a corrupted clipboard and you can try this fix

Type the following in the Run box:
cmd /c echo.|clip

While Ctrl+C is not worked, have you tried Ctrl + Insert instead of that? This can be worked on Windows 10. Or invoke a popup menu by right clicking on the selected text, and then click Copy.

Another way to copy an image is to either right-click the image and select copy image. If that does not work you can also try the snipping tool in Win10. You can custom crop an image on the screen and save it as a new file or copy and paste it into another application.

CTRL+Prt Scr also should work for you. that will give you a screen grab of the entire screen though.
