Windows 10 pro ran well until the Autumnt update arrived Now if I try to start it up the process stops as my motherboard logo appears on screen If I do a hard reset Windows starts up normally I’ve tried uninstalling McAfee and reinstalling Windows but that didn’t solve the problem Can anyone suggest a solution please?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If it’s causing problems you can always try and boot in safe mode and try rolling back the update.  There are a lot of links for windows 10 boot issues after an update. You might want to check a few that pertain to your mos recent update… Thank you Microsoft again!! I’d love to see their QA department explain these issues..

Reinstalling Windows means what? Have you formatted the system & then reinstalled or just rewritten the system OS on the old one? Also have you tried to run Windows Troubleshooter?

If your system asks for update and you though this can be a problem, then don't go for that. If you already done, you can roll back the update.

Keep in mind, take backups before go for system format.

Is it started in Safe mode and allowed to work? Please try to restart the system in Safe mode & check what happens. If it works, may be some services stop through Services/ MSCONFIG. Be careful about Microsoft essential services.
