    One thing that will kill your speed is having multiple devices connected at the same time. Just 1 or 2 extra device can cut your speed in half. Increasing your speed is possible bu it depends. You cannot increase it past what your ISP is providing. If you have weak spots you may want to look into a signal booster.  This will help eliminate some lag and drop issues due to a shaky signal quality. The last option is you may need to upgrade you ISP's broadband speed and that can get pricey depending on what you need.

    Hard for us to say. What is the latest standard that is supported by both your WiFi router and the device(s) that you want to be faster? If both ends already support 802.11ac, then there might be nothing that you can do.

    After that, what do you get from your ISP? If you want to exceed that speed, you might also be stuck until you can change providers.
