We are moving to V7R2 and we still see QUSRTOOL is shipped along. I understand all the tools that used to be in QUSRTOOL moved out to TAATOOLS, if yes, what is the purpose of QUSRTOOL on V7R2?

IBM continues to provide sample programs in QUSRTOOL. Go the the IBM Knowledge Center and search on QUSRTOOL. You'll get a few hits. For

A lot of tools did move from QUSRTOOL to TAATOOLS back in V3R6, but not all of them.

Thank you bvining. I did research but cannot find anything as to how those tools that exist in QUSRTOOL works. There are quite a few number of tools but if you could give an example of one, great.

None of the tools "work" when QUSRTOOL ships with a release. You have to go through and follow the instructions to choose and create the tools. I use a number of them. One of them that I use in some difficult circumstances is the ILE/OPM Program Trace Utility tool. You learn about it in the TTEINFO member of the QUSRTOOL/QATTINFO source file. It's been especially helpful in logging traces from ILE programs that run in server jobs. (Traces are easy for OPM programs without any "tool"; ILE traces are a bit more complicated.)
