You mentioned, 'super nefarious activity', & then you wanted to catch this culprit, also this is fine. But you asked for his/her email login procedure, it seems that this is some kind of hacking which mail is connected to your Facebook. If this is the case, have you changed your Facebook account password with complex one? Why did you want to login without his/her knowledge? This is an illegal step. How did you know that this email id is connected to your FB? What type of handheld device you are using now like Android/iOS/Windows based?

He gave me access by logging into his account on my phone because his phone "wouldn't". The reason he couldn't access his Batphone facebook from his phone is because of whatever app he installed that keeps those things secret. Nevertheless, he was sitting right there and he didn't log out and knew I'd be granted access but he also thinks I'm dumb.

Take a took after the @. That is usually the domain hosing the email server. But these can be spoofed. That is why it's so hard to set up spam filters on a network to stop these type of emails.

So far nothing in this thread makes any sense. Nothing can be gained by logging into a mail server except access to the account mailbox for the logged-on account. If the account is yours, then our help isn't needed. And if it's not yours, then you're asking us to commit a crime.

If you simply want to know who owns the e-mail server, given in the question as "h******.c*.uk", it might not be possible. GDPR currently makes such details illegal to release for the controlling registrar.

If the person has Facebook account, he must be an email address. Open his Facebook page and observe if there is an email id. If so, you can note down this ID and ask your local administration for help.

What kind of "nefarious" activity are we talking about that makes you want to commit a crime by hacking the account?
