I recently stumbled upon a case study on pitching the HANA to C-level and the estimated cost shown was $2M approx. It sets few thoughts in motion and they are-
1- Can companies in the bracket of $250M~500M think of trespassing in the HANA territory?
2- Do these companies really need HANA in first place? and if yes, what are the options?
3- Does HOC (HANA on Cloud) lowers the cost of ownership and emerges a viable choice to those growing rapidly and might be wondering to adopt an in-memory solution w/t analytic capabilities?
