Which is the best among DBA and CCNA for career in all aspects

Hi all, presently I have one year of experience in the networking field. I want change my domain to DBA. Now I'm confused whether to continue with CCNA or to change to DBA. Please, can anyone suggest to me which will be the best for my career in all aspects? Please help me out

You have one year exp. in network field so you chose CCNA .
CCNA is a good field in your exp.
This field is very hard working field but 3-4 years after very easy work and earn more money.

IMHO, it depends much more on what your drivers are. If you enjoy a more isolated task and are more of a tinkerer, I would stay where you are. If you like people and interacting with the business, I would try the DBA route. Both probably have about equal opportunity and are good for jumping off into other fields in the future if you get bored.

Well, since you already started the CCNA course I suggest that you finish it. It will be one of your many achievements. Its always a good idea to be multi-disciplined in IT, it will help you better understand future trends/technologies/etc. Both are good for a career, focus on what you enjoy the most, the rest will follow. :D

These are two very different career paths. What do you want to do? What are you interested in learning more about? It certainly wouldn't hurt to learn both!

hi, I've have completed my engineering and worked in tech support for 1yr which is BPO.. in order to work for what I have studied companies are asking for experience or to know new technologies. I'm confused as to which course to take up .net or dba or sap or ccna?? could you pls guide me as to which vud have better scope and which vud help me to get a job on course completion..

@Haddaprashant, why you confused, if you have basic knowledge in networking, you can go for CCNA as nowadays, this is more in demand in the market.

But it is common and to much expensive
DBA is uncommon it is better option than CCNA.

As you did not mention, in which field are you interested for, if you have working knowledge in any database, or have some basic knowledge you can go for DBA course like Oracle/SQL server. But you must have some knowledge about query language that can help to learn the course quickly.

There is no way we can know which is better or will pay more. First, if there are no good openings in any time span for a region, that's just the way things go. Any job at all for either choice might be better. Or if you could hold out for another couple weeks, a dream job might appear.

Also, you might discover a natural talent in one area while the other turns out to be overly uninteresting. You might advance in the one with solid pay increases while being flat in the other.

A technology advance might make much of one be unneeded while the other takes off.

Predicting opportunities over a career time span simply doesn't work, especially for someone else. Pick the one you feel best about and focus on its opportunities for you.
