Hi Amrathi. If I were in your situation I would have gone for the “SAP Certified Application Associate – Project Management with SAP ERP 6.0” certification, get a job that have some project management as part of the job description and only after that pursue the PMP qualification. I dont know your situation, but if you are really serious about project management you can maybe just look for a job using your current skills and qualifications and make it clear in the interview that you would like to pursue PM and are committed to qualify in that field. The company might even pay for your qualification. Ive always believed in first use what you can do, get a job, and then pursue where you want to go. The IT industry is quite demanding and not having a job can come back and bite you. any experience is good and companies are tentative to employ people that dont have a current position – or this was my experience. Hope this helps you.
