I'm trying to write a query to show all patients along with their diagnosis. The result should have 4 columns: patient ID, patient first and last name, and their diagnosis. Sort the results based on patient last names. How can I do that?

Good assignment. But which software are you working now? Assuming this is basically based on SQL Query. If yes, what database are you using now: like Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/SQL or other? Also Is this an office/for your personal use? What OS is there? Moreover, have you written any code/SQL query for this purpose. You can back here with your code and that will be more helpful to get good replies.

Sounds like a class assignment. It should be fairly easy. What language do you have to write it in and post what you have written. We are glad to help you find and fix your problems, that's part of the learning. We won't do all the work for you. The assignment will only get more complicated down the road.
We would need to know the table name, database and other information not given in your question.

As others have suggested, we won't do your homework, but we can help you get it right if you show us what you have tried and provide the necessary details about the tables involved.
