What is CDR12 Format?

Please explain to me what exactly is a CDR12 format and how does it differ from normal CDR? And also how do I convert a PNG to a CDR12?

A CDR12 is a Corel Draw file format. The 12 just signifies the version it was created on to the best of my memory. As for converting it, there are online converters like this one. Or you can open the file in Corel and try saving as a different format.  There are a number of other programs that can use the CDR format as well. You can find a list here for a variety of OS’s. You may even want to take a look at the open source program GIMP. This is also quite useful for file format conversions.
