LANSA is an integrated development environment (IDE) for building desktop, web and mobile software applications that can be deployed to Cloud, Windows, Linux and IBM i server platforms.
I think that’s a name and not an acronym.

LANSA is the premier AS/400 application development environment. It is easy to learn and use. You can easily extend your existing applications. New applications can be rapidly designed and created. Development is much faster than RPG in LANSA’s, portable 4GL. Maintenance is much easier with centralized definitions of common logic in the LANSA Object Repository.
