There are three identity access options currently available in Windows Azure. These three options include running Windows Server Active Directory, giving users the ability to sign into SAAS apps through a single source and letting users log into cloud-based applications through social media platforms like Facebook, Google+, etc.
Business apps can also utilize Azure Active Directory Access Control to let users log in using different identities and profiles from Google, Facebook, Twitter and other major identity providers in the social media space.
Windows Server Active Directory can be operated in the cloud using virtual machines created with Azure Virtual Machines.
Azure Active Directory can also allow users the ability to single sign-on to SaaS applications.
