    What is the purpose of your query. What type of system you have. Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Simply, you can see by clicking My Computer/ Computer's properties  from desktop. (assuming you have a windows OS) Or see wikipedia.

    Most older systems out there are 32-bit. Newer technology helped create the 64-bit, a faster and more efficient system. This allows more data to be processing in a shorter amount of time.

    32-bit was and is being used by the older single core processors. 64-bit is is used by the multicore or multiple processors.
