I run OUTLOOK 2003 on Windows XP and have SBC/ATT as the ISP. Recently they requested switching to SSL ports for incoming/outgoing mail servers. The change was not a problem. However, afterwards I need to install a CBS VPN connection. This works fine and I get mail in OUTLOOK from the VPN side as well as the ISP side. However, while the VPN is up and running, I can not use the SSL ports.
I can not connect to the servers. I need to use the default Non-SSL ports. If I disconnect the VPN, then I have no problem using SSL. I do not see any other configuration I can make on the ISP side and looking at the VPN client there is only a HTTP proxy, which is stated as NOT recomended.
I've tried this with several different VPN's the IBM VPN works fine with SSL or non-SSL. So the problem I think is with the CBS VPN client. I just dont know where or what to have changed to make this work
