Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I verify the profile is enabled and working. Then try to ping the IP from the pc.

Have them try to ping the IP address from a command line and check the info with IPCONFIG. How are they trying to connect, using client access or other means? It could be the profile is disabled.

If the error was 10061, a ping won't help at all. (In fact, it can give misleading results.) You might use CWBPING though.

The most likely problem (near certain) is that a firewall is blocking one or more required ports. The firewall could be software running on the PC or some hardware device anywhere along the route.

Help Required. I have AS/400 installed on my personal machine and I want to use it on my personal machine itself for learning purpose. How I have to do all the configurations? I am new there for AS/400 and very much interested in learning it. Kindly help me out in configuring it on my local machine.

@Sanjeevsk: I'm a little confuse on your request. What software have you loaded to your PC, Client Access or another terminal emulator program? Do you have an IP address of an AS/400 you can connect to for learning it? I do not know of any software that will simulate an AS/400 environment on a PC that let's you compile and execute programs as if you were really working on one.
