I snapped my girlfriends Slim Flash drive in two (got pictures) and it has very important information on it that she needs. Is there anyway I can perhaps repair it to retrieve the data or is it totally dead? The actual thing itself has snapped but it doesn't look that bad.

Have you tried to see if the computer even recognizes it? You may get lucky. I had a thumb drive go through a wash, rinse then a spin through the dryer and it still worked.

It was recognised but no data on it. The thing is one object (Old memory stick) it's snapped in two (chips on one side whilst I think the flash memory is on the other) I've got into contact with data retrieval companies and they believe my flash memory is still intact so it's been sent off for further inspection.

Best of luck in trying to recover your data.
I think it's beyond most of our help with out actually seeing the drive.
It's just trial and error methods.

If you broke the board, you may have a chance.  If you broke the chip, I doubt it.  Hope you have a nice place to take her to dinner.
