When you read data or view (but not d/load) images on a f/drive is that information stored on your computer h/drive. I don't wish to allocate drive space to data/images. I may view only once

When you view an image or a document from any other source that is not from your hard drive, it is held is RAM, temporary memory.  Same as when you view a web page.  Unless you click and save the image or document to your hard drive, you are not taking up any space.

    It only get loaded to memory not the physical drive unless you do a copy. Like mentioned it's retrieved from the flash drive and loaded to memory. It will disappear when that memory is needed or the system is shut down.
