I currently use McAfee antivirus Total Protection on my computer. I have to do an update on it but I want to use the command line. Is that possible? What's the best way to do that?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

mcupdate.exe located in the VirusScan directory will force an update

So the command would be

C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\mcupdate /update /quiet

Probably possible. But why are you going to do so. While windows has primarily used for GUI features. What the anti virus installed, and what have you asked, that can be done by the help of graphical user interface or simply double click to open and point out the necessary update button to start the job. Is this is server and has it no GUI interface. Please provide more details.
