Trouble shooting Speakers

So my audio jack just crapped out on me and I'm not very eager to go and pay the local I.t. store in my area to get it fixed. As they weren't too kind to help me the last time I was in. Somewhat rude and ignorant behaviour doesn't make me feel good about spending my measly cash in a store like that In any case what I'm wondering is if I purchase a set of USB portable speakers if I can run my speakers just off of the USB drive. Or does it have to be attached to the Audio jack as well, even if its a portable USB device. I think I know the answer here but any help would be appreciated

The USB speakers should work. Not knowing the specifics of your device, you might even have a Bluetooth option and be able to go wireless. We would need more specs on what you are using as in is this a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop unit. The make and model would be a plus as well.

USB speakers would work on at least some of my systems. I haven't checked all of them, and I don't know anything about yours. Please post enough detail about your system to see if anyone either has that experience or is familiar with those specs.

What kind of system is there? What OS is on this system? What brand of audio jack you had erstwhile? Have you tried another store/ online portal ?

    Please be specific.

You can try Bluetooth speakers, if possible or the system supports.

So it is a desktop and it is a Wndows 10 operating system and  the make and model are Acer Intel Premium. I think I get the idea but what do you think is compatible with these systems speaker wise that don't need to have audio wire. Or are USb or Wireless. Suggestions are more then welcome.
