I want to transfer files from my HTC to a Nexus 10. I was told to email the files and then open them in a native mail application on the target platform. How do I determine what the native email application is?
What did you mean here by "file", are they simple picture/ video/ some kind of pdf files or folders. If the both have android based (assuming mobile phone) then it is simple to connect the htc phone with your data cable and allow to usb port on your computer/ laptop. Take all necessary backups on your laptop/ pc under a name of folder. Now detach it and again connect nexus phone with data cable to your pc/laptop as same way. Now copy all files/ folder on your nexus phone either in memory card or in phone memory. If you want to access email account, go to email setup wizard and provide your email id/ password and after bit more configuration you can synchronize your mail and after few minutes you can see all of your mails.
