I have a 9 month old ASUS laptop with Windows 10 and I haven't played with any of the settings but the two finger scroll and zoom has stopped working, I also have to click several times on a link or application for the mouse to pick it up.

As you mentioned this is only 9 months old, hope this laptop is under warranty, generally any warranty can be given at least 12 months. So, it is better to carry this laptop to a nearest Asus service center with all original laptop related papers and ask them for help. Or link their official web site and invoke support page for more info.

It might just be a setting that has disabled the touchpad. What model laptop do you have?

These days you can get remote tech support from your hardware seller company. Call thēm and let them check your machine's setting remotely.

In case you accidentally or inadvertently altered some setting or some operating system updated affected it, you could try restoring it to a recent restore point.

But if you are not comfortable doing such things, let the technicians do it for you, hopefully as part of the device's warranty.
