Thin Client requirements for Delivering Session Based Microsoft VDI (RDS)

I'm looking for a thin client solution for deploying a small classroom (training suite) of 16 seats.
I've settled on the idea of working using RDS, rather than traditional pooled VM's (due to licensing costs), but struggling to find a definitive answer as to what is supported by particular Thin / Zero client hardware. They all mentioned Citrix, Amazon, VMWare and PCoIP, but can't seem to find a device that confirms it does standard automatic boot into an RDS session.
I've never worked with thin clients before, so it might be something glaring that I'm missing, or something that is so obvious, that they don't even mention it.

Software/Hardware used:
Windows Server 2016 Datacentre

After running the remote desktop connection, expand the screen/session. Now you can save connection settings with .rdp file in a suitable location of your system, if any. Next just drag the file into Start > Programs > Startup. Or write a batch file to start it automatically.
