The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt

I am using Microsoft Access 2003. I made some changes in a visual basic module and then I changed the source of a list box in a form. Then I saved the form and opened it to test. The next thing I get is "The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt". All articles I have searched for relate to converting from Access 97 or 2000. But I wasn't doing that. Has anyone successfully recovered the code when this message appears?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Have you tried the following:
1) Removing the new code or troubleshooting the new code
2) Removing the module
3) Reverting to a saved back up?

I can't do anything in code or even change the "Has Module" property of the form with out getting the same message. I didn't have a backup of the new code; but I was able to use a back up from the day before and recreate my changes. I was just hoping someone stumbled across a way to recover from this error. It only took me a couple of hours to recreate what I lost; but someday it could be worse.
