I have developed Windows applications with Visual Studio for many years. When the program is ready, I can copy the compiled .exe file to another computer to test it. Now I start creating a webform application. But how can I test it on another computer. There is no .exe file. What files do I have to copy? Thanks for your help.

If both of the computers are connected on same router/domain, you can run by IP address of your source computer as this is a web application. You can type the IP address in a browser on client/ second computer following port no.

If you've deployed your app to your test web server, you test it by invoking the URL that you've assigned to your app. If your question is about how to deploy it, see How to deploy ASP.NET Web Forms projects to a server. Or perhaps see Walkthrough: Deploying a Web Solution. Or maybe slightly different instructions are needed... it's not clear exactly what you're using for development nor quite what clients you're developing for.

    Thanks for your answers.

The computers are not connected. I want to send the result of the project so they can view it with their own browser, like you can do with an HTML file.

TheRealRaven, I will study the links you gave me.
