Welcome to ITKE, misty113! A plasma TV is the technology in which each pixel on the screen is illuminated by a bit of plasma. The plasma is enclosed between two thin sheets of glass. There are plenty of plasma TV vendors including: LG, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Samsung and Sanyo (among others).

It's funny how you cant find a plasma TV just 2 years later. The one problem I heard is that some leaked the plasma gas and they did not have a long life. They did work better in rooms that had more ambient light like sunlight.
