Has stopped working, the display has come up with. Device-mask ROM. What does this mean?

Sounds like a hardware problem, the microprocessor on the chip may have died.

If this is an older keyboard it my be time for an upgrade but take to to a tech first to see if it can be salvaged. There are even a few repair videos on YouTube you may want to check out.

    Probably this is a kind of piano. If it is under warranty, please carry it to the nearest service center and ask them for help. They are the best source that can help you perfectly.

    Hi, I have a technics kn6000,it has stopped playing. It would power up a every thing played as it should ,then switch it off and would not play again. Leave it a day and it would play ok. Know it powers up but the screen just flashes and nothing else light up leave replaced the power button and had the power circuit change which is ok. I have had a look at the service manual. I have reset to factory setting. Also I have held the first 4memory buttons and this comes up (please wait device-mask Rom. Has any one got any idea what is going on? John.

    Have you asked an expert rather try by your own. If you are comfortable, you can troubleshoot, but it is better to ask an expert for help.
