Targeted by attacker via FlashPlayer

I play with a community of people on a website called haxball.com. The game is freely modifiable and we play one of those mods. For months, lobby hosts (including myself) using this map have been attacked causing our internet to completely drop sometimes up to 10 minutes but usually as little as maybe 2. It used to be up to once or twice a week but now every time I host there is a very high chance I'll get attacked.
I'm saying attacked because I don't know what to call it. I'm creating this because I don't even know what to search for or how to diagnose the situation. If we could just prevent these attacks that would do a lot of good. Thank you for your efforts.

There have been a lot of security issues with Adobe's Flash in the news lately. Someone may be playing around and testing to see if this has the same vulnerabilities and then exploiting them. I'd start by running a good anti-virus program. See if the problem resolves itself.

I'd start by never playing an internet game that allowed player mods.
