How to securely wipe data from a hard drive

I'm looking to sell my desktop PC  but I need all of my data (particularly my sensitive infomation) removed. I've already reformatted the hard drive but I'm still worried. Is there a way to securely wipe the data from the hard drive? It's for a Microsoft Windows PC.
