System i v6.1 FTP

System i

I've been receiving data since 2003 with FTP that runs from a CL program.  Recently upgraded to a new machine with V6R1 OS/400.  Began getting EPSV error message. Added 'SENDEPSV 0' after the 'USER' line.  This got rid of the EPSV error message but now get:

227 Entering Passive Mode (74,254,143,170,17,110)
550 File 'FileName.OIN' not found.

I have an old V5R1 and I can still consistently download the file running the same CL program with the same FTP commands (without the new 'SENDEPSV 0').  Can't find any information on other changes that might be required in V6R1.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We are running FTP every day on our 6.1 machine.
    Command sequence is:
    user  xxxx yyyyy
    put  somefile

How is the connection being made, by IP address or host name? Where is the file coming from and where is it to be stored? There may be an issuer if the file is from a different release and you are trying to save it in a more current one.

Todd, is your question for me or DK?
Connection is by IP address to a bank's computer which is not an IBM i.
File is generated on the IBM i.  It is a simple, flat file.

I am trying to remember the change required when we went from V5R4M0 to 6.1  It was a tiny change with big results.  It may have been a system setting.

Perhaps another member can shed light on this.

    The questions were for Dkiverson.

Just a thought after reading it again, are you receiving this file with a replace option? I would just double check that the destination for the file is on your new system and you have authority to it. What format is the original file in? Not sure if the transfer needs to be in binary mode and if it's a SAVF then you may need to change the target system release when the SAVF is created.
