Unable to open PDF files after computer restore

PDF Files
I have windows 7 and my system became unresponsive, so I restored it to 3 days ago. Now I am all of a sudden not able to open my PDF files. I uninstalled/installed Adober readed and still get the message that "These files can't be opened. Your interned security is preventing one or more of files from being opened". I followed the instructions for resetting the internet security options but still see the same messsage. I can see the file icon but cannot open any of the pdf files, even the ones from way back.

Software/Hardware used:
Windows 7, Adobe reader 10.0, IE 8

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Updating adobe immediatly after a system restore is always a good move. Consiter burning a system image when you have your pc where you want it and reload from that to stop future issues.

Try to copy them to a different folder. See if you get a 'file in use error' which would indicate they may be locked in some way. The folder or file may be marked as open or in use by another user by the system. When the system became unresponsive, were you using the PDF reader to access the problem files at the time? Can you download and open any other PDFs? If you can, then it will be a locking problem stopping you accessing the other PDFs.

Thank you for your help everyone! I had to uninstall/install Adobe a few times and ran a registry scan and was finally able to open the files. Not sure what happened, just know that I can open the files now. Thanks again.
