There are a lot of screen capture programs out there that may help. What OS are you running? The hardest part is if there is a specific frame of video you are looking to capture it may have to be converted to another format. Even the the image may not be very clear as our eyes blend the images for video.

Thanks for your response. I'm running Windows 7. The original gentleman that shot the swf videos of our jewelry pieces for our website also did stills at the time (7 years ago) but they are 200 X 200 pixels or less. I need 500 at least for thumbnails. The videos (swf's) "play" and "Loop" and I can stop them but am unable to get the still.  Also way out of focus.  Was unsure of the "screen capture" programs because mine are not your typical video with Time Codes...where you can stop the video and do a screen shot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much

Have you tried the snipping tool in Windows 7? It allows you to select a portion on the screen and save it. The icon may be in your toll bar, it looks like a red circle with a pair of scissors sticking out of it. If not there is another free app that works good as well IrfanView.

Yes I tried the snipping tool...great idea but the image was blurry and I wasn't able to increase the pixel size.  I guess at this point I will have to reshoot all the jewelry again myself from scratch and then adjust off the camera...didn't have the time...but oh well...I want to thank you so much for taking the time to help me...very much appreciated...there are still nice people in the world!!!

No problem. I did a lot of that for my sisters who had a jewelry business for a while. Now I think they just sell to a few business for re-sale. Depending on the volume of your inventory, I feel your your task at hand, it takes time. If I can think of anything else that may help I will post back here.

Just wanted to let you know I found "Paint" which allows me to change the pixels and I've been working like crazy.  Not a bad reproduction at the higher number.

    Thumbnails galore in just seconds.

So very happy...thanks again for helping
