I'm honestly confused by this networking question. I'm looking at my Wi-Fi router and it offers two Wi-Fi networks to connect to. There's one that says: SSID-NETWORK. The other says SSID-NETWORK-5G. Which one should I use? Does one offer a faster speed?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The primary differences between the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless frequencies are range and bandwidth. 5GHz provides faster data rates at a shorter distance. 2.4GHz offers coverage for farther distances, but may perform at slower speeds.

Who provided you the internet connections & all of these? Are you aware of internet tariff/plan? Who configured this router either you or internet provider's representative? It is better to ask them first and you can get better help.
