SQL Server and IIS Hardware Specification

I have a two-tier client server application that consists of ASP for the front end and SQL Server 2000 backend database. This application does not contain any middle tier components and needs to support 40 users and scale up to a maximum of 80 users. What hardware specification would be appropriate for the Web server and SQL Server? Also, how many servers are necessary?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I would suggest putting the back-end and front-end on separate servers.

SQL Server:
2 CPU >= 3Ghz
RAID 5 configuration with SCSI >= 10k and storage >= 100GB
Memory >= 3GB

Application Server:
2 CPU >= 3Ghz
Hard Drive >= 10k and storage >= 50GB
Memory >= 3GB
