What happens if the development phase slips (takes more time than estimated) and as a result it eats up the testing time? What do we do? Do we add the testing activities to the next sprint?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

When you talk about sprints, there is nothing like a development phase, testing phase, etc. A sprint is NOT a mini-waterfall. The team works together on the Product Backlog Items to achieve the sprint goal. If the item is not complete, the whole item goes back to the Product Backlog. It may or may not come in the next sprint based on the priority.

You might be interested in this site:http://scrummethodology.com/scrum-sprint/   To be successful a sprint must be completed including QA and deliver user accepted solution. Options are: - Extend time.  - Consider this sprint as "failed" and move it's objectives to the next sprint.
