I am going to create PDF from Spool file with CPYSPLF command. I need to perform this on daily basis. Everyday I run the same command to create PDF, but I need to load/store PDF files with same name. When I try this, existing PDF is getting overridden. ANy suggestion how to handle this. How can we store multiple PDFs with same name?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The only way to do it and keep the same name for all files is they need to go into a separate directory. We have done something similar but we tack on the date to the file name. This way it’s still identifiable. In your process to create the file just concatenate the system date. Something like dailyshipments06072019.PDF the next day it’s  dailyshipments06082019.PDF

Place each one in a different directory.

There is no alternative. The request makes no sense.

Appending a timestamp or other unique identifier is the usual method. Having the same name would make it very difficult for the system to know which one to process for almost any operation.
