I have another client that I am having trouble with. The client was having power issues throughout the day yesterday. Their server, which is running Exchange 2003 Small Business server, had issues.
One of the techs ran a chkdsk on the system and now they have lost their priv1.edb. I cannot use the Recovery store to restore from tape. I cannot restore to the original location.
Do we have to completely remove and re-install Exchange? Or is their some way to fix this beast?

Maybee priv.edb is just lost from the file table. Try using Winternals administrator pack. You can salvage lost files if they have not been overwrittten.
