Technology behind smartphone screens

I'm really interested in the technology behind smartphone screens, eg. Apple bends the iPhone X's OLED screen in order to make the bottom bezel (chin) much thinner. However the Huawei Mate 20's chin is the same size, but it has got LCD screen and as far as I know it can't be bent. Can you explain how they make the bottom bezel thinner than other companies? Thanks for the answer.

It may be proprietary information on how it's manufactured. I have not found anything on the specs. Apparently Apple now has a second OLED screen supplier lined up

Yes, these are all their proprietary mechanism. They use these technologies according to their name. For OLED technology, please link here: https://www.oled-info.com/oled-technology
